CHOROMATICITY

Chromaticity is an objective specification of the standard of a color no matter its luminance, that is, as determined by its hue and colorfulness (or saturation, chroma, intensity, or excitation purity)

The chromaticity diagram is helpful for the following:

1. Comparing colors gamut’s for various sets of primaries.
2. Identify the complementary colors.
3. Determining dominant wavelength and purity of a given color.
