HLS COLOR MODEL

HLS color model stands for hue, lightness and saturation

HSL (Hue, Saturation, and Lightness). This is a way for describing colors in Graphical manner. HSL is additionally known by the abbreviations of HLS and HIS, while the L can often disscuss with luminosity or luminance instead of light.

The HLS color model is graphically represented by a double cone or hexacone, this shape resembles a spinning top.The highest and bottom ends of the cone, also called apexes, are the colorsblack and white. During this model, the hue is represented by the angular perimeter. The S a part ofHSL is graphically viewed by varying distances from the axis, which is the line that'slocated within the center of the graph within the vertical direction. And eventually the gap between the 2 apexes is what represents the sunshine of the color model. To place this graph, abd therefore the one for the similar HSV graph (whichmay be a single cone representation of color model), into perspective both are variations of the well-know RGB color model.
